It is possible to vine clip in OoT by letting go of a climbable surface (that isn't a ladder) and holding down, and then holding up and taking damage as you re-grab the vines to clip out of bounds. This is very useful in the Well because it can be used to get early explosives. It is easy to use explosives for vine clipping, all you have to do is let go and hold down, and then hold up and immediately take out a bombchu. Doing this provides a faster way to get to the rooms that have the shields, and if you got to the dead hand mini-boss without using the actor glitch to unload the water, then it's likely you hvaen't obtained a key, and so this 2nd clip could also save you getting a small key. However, for my route, Blank A isn't viable so I used the actor glitch triggered by opening a locked door immediately after exiting a crawlspace to load the room with the deku shield and unload the water in the main room, so I could access the dead hand fight early to get early explosives. However, the timing for the vine clip with the skulltula is pretty precise, so you will need to practice a lot to get it unbuffered. You have to hold down and A for 2 frames (A only has to be held for one actually) and then up on the right frame of the skulltula's descent animation. I didn't actually do this in real time though, this is part of a low-optimization tool-assisted demonstration meant to showcase crazy things that can be done using many of OoT's insane glitches, even if some of them are very much impossible for a human to execute. However, vine clipping is perfectly executable by a human, so you should be able to get this to work eventually.
