I have watched so many videos showing different techniques to paint Dollar Tree glass and thrifted ceramics to make them look like they are more high-end. So I decided to test many different techniques to see what I could create.

Faux pottery paint is basically mixing paint with a dry substance such as baking soda, plaster, soil, sand, Epsom salt, baking soda, or honestly, anything that you can think of. When mixed together, they create a matte, textured paint that when applied to an item whether it is ceramic, glass or even plastic, creates a faux pottery look that is fantastic and so much fun to work with.

I have Dollar Tree glass and a lot of vases and vessels that I have had for years from thrift stores or even ones that I bought. But I want to give them all a more Pottery Barn or high-end look. And I wanted to share all of the different ways to make vases and other items look high-end. Even trash! Talk about trash to treasure!
