Hello! So here's my recipe for an easy caramel - which is my go to recipe for drizzling in between cake layers (goes great with my ginger cake!), drizzling on top of brownies/cupcakes/cookies, whatever! It's naturally gluten free (of course) and you can easily make it vegan and it tastes the same! Add a bit of salt for that addictive salted caramel. Just a short quick recipe that is a much needed part of your baking arsenal.
Ingredients: (two main ingredients really, cause water isn't really an ingredient and salt is optional!)
90ml/g water
240g caster or granulated sugar ( 1 1/4 cups)
225ml double cream OR coconut milk to make vegan (1 cup)
salt, to taste (optional but highly recommended!)
