Well known south Indian film actor and director Prathap Pothen passed away in Chennai on Friday. He was 69. He will be remembered forever for his incredible work in the film industry.
Pratap Pothen has acted in over 100 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi film industries. Apart from being an actor, Pratap Pothen was also widely known among the audience as a scriptwriter, director, and producer. He ushered a fresh energy into Tamil cinema in the 80’s,He was part of a group of talented directors & actors breaking new ground & making films more realistic. He had played many memorable roles. Pothen contained in him both the uncertainty and ecstacy of a wild child. It is hard to restrain his instincts. There was eternal rebellion in his eyes.
