This virtual tour takes you back to the 1800s to the one room school house known as Boiling Spring Academy located in Brentwood, Tennessee off Moores Lane. You’ll see what it was like to go to school when there was no electricity, no running water or indoor plumbing. Students had to use the bathroom outside in an outhouse. There were not cellphones, computers, television, airplanes or cars. Grades one through eight all shared the same room, teachers were strict and chores were completed early in the morning before school ever began. Much different than the fast paced, technology driven public schools of today!
