The island of Dominica is a beautiful and mountainous part of the Windward islands in the Caribbean. The official language is English but they also speak French Creole. The people are mainly of African origin and the original native people now known as Kalinago. They claim to have over 365 rivers and many black sparkling sandy beaches. The currency is Eastern Caribbean but the US dollar is freely used.
