Did you catch this interesting tidbit about An American Werewolf in London? When the production team applied for work permits from the British government, only four permits were requested for director John Landis, makeup artist Rick Baker, and actors David Naughton and Griffin Dunne. The first three permits were granted without any trouble, but the British office of Actors' Equity was hesitant about granting a permit for Dunne. They believed there were already enough young American actors living in the UK who could play the role of Jack. It wasn't until Landis threatened to rewrite the script and change the movie's title to "An American Werewolf in Paris" that the equity office reconsidered and granted Dunne his permit. It's funny to think that the sequel that eventually followed, An American Werewolf in Paris, was made 16 years later. #shorts #anamericanwerewolfinlondon #didyouknow #moviefacts #moviedetails #werewolf
