The 27th of January marks the day that the Concentration Camp Auschwitz was liberated in 1945. This day has been chosen to commemorate the lives lost, and to remember so that history won’t repeat itself. Expresso attended the Cape Town tribute and exhibition launch at the Holocaust Museum, meeting historians, politicians, and the public, with some survivors telling their tale from this terrible time.
