This car is somewhat rare in the USA as they had to be imported and federalized to get into the States. This car is the first generation 635CSi with 218hp and about 225 ftlb torque in 1978 when they originally came out. The block is the same as the BMW M635CSi that was used in the M88 engine. This version is basically a SOHC of the same engine (as opposed to DOHC in the M6).
Interesting thing about these cars is that they came mated with the Close Ratio sport gearbox (also known as dogleg). 2nd-5th gears are in an H pattern.
This engine/trans combo showed up later in the first generation E12 M535i. For the e24, the Recaro seats are awesome, and the fact that this car avoided a few US federalization options is great.
The front and rear spoilers are specific to the '78-'81 production cars. This has bronze tint and no AC. The wheels are 16" versions of the original 14" BBS's. A blast to drive, and so good looking with those Euro bumpers. Pretty crazy when you have it side by side with the US bumpers, they just look silly.
