Award-winning actress Taraji P. Henson is busy shining a light on Black mental health wellness with the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation.
The organization unveiled a new campaign called "The Unspoken Curriculum," which is a resource guide for educators to help identify and cultivate mental health wellness in Black students.
In recognition of May as Mental Awareness Month, Hill spoke with Henson about her new show, her foundation, and her work to fight the stigma around mental health in Black communities. She says she started her new Facebook show because there is so much to unpack about mental health awareness in the Black community.
Henson also says she wants Black students to have a safe space to process their experiences and trauma.
