The Blackbox HG-2 is a blessing for sounds that need grit. The box generates 3 types of distortion with the ability to control where and how you want the harmonics to go. Therefore, using it on any type of bass will naturally make it sound better.

*Tip*
A warmer bass sound works with the PENTODE. More grit can be found in the TRIODE. If you need upper harmonics, use more TRIODE than PENTODE. Turning on the SATURATION and driving the DENSITY will amplify this distortion even more. The object is to get the bass heard without having to turn it up. That's when you know you got a good bass.
