The legal team for a doctor who owns a private surgical clinic began making closing arguments Monday, November 18, for why patients should be allowed to pay for private health care in British Columbia. Dr. Brian Day, CEO of Cambie Surgeries Corporation, says he launched the suit because the public system is broken. But advocates for public health care say a two-tiered system would only benefit the wealthy.
