Concerns have been raised about the ownership of the land which houses Kyaka Refugee camp in Rwentuha, Kyegegwa district on which more than 6,000 people, some of them expelled from Tanzania. This after the former Prime Minister of Toro Stephen Irumba said he has a genuine title for the land and wants the tenants off his property. Lands Minister Betty Amongi convened a meeting The land lin question is 48-square miles long. Rumba says he purchased the land from one Henry Baguma in 2003. Amongi spoke at a meeting held at Rwentuha Primary School between the district leaders and the tenants where she informed them that government would re-demarcate the land.
