In the harmonization of the major scale in fourths we have only two triads that contain an augmented fourth, the other five are made up of perfect fourths. We play the arpeggio of these triads on the minor seventh chord of the second degree and on the major seventh chord of the fourth degree. So we obtain respectively a dorian and lydian sounds.
The arpeggio of the triad in fourths is developed on the position, for the same triad we can have five fingerings corresponding to the CAGED positions. The five triads that we will play on the same chord will be developed on the same position.
These triads have an unusual sound and can be used during improvisation as a valid melodic alternative.
