Trinamool Congress' students' wing, Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad staged a protest in Kolkata against NEET and JEE examinations to mark its foundation. The protest was held in front of a Gandhi statue on Kolkata's Mayo Road. Trinamool's student workers wore masks and held posters asking why students were being made to take the exams during a pandemic. Meanwhile, party chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee slammed the Centre while addressing a virtual rally of TMC and accused them of imposing their policies and making students suffer. She also rued their interference in matters related to school education which is a state subject.
