My base is made by Ove. Ove claims it is made of acrylic and re inforced with fiberglass. When I chipped it I found a company that does touch ups. The tech who repaired the chip showed me how to properly clean the base using Gel Gloss. Really works well, is easy to apply and the results are great. Tub looks new! It has been a few years now that I only use this product to clean the tub. I have to admit it really works well. Note: this is not an advertisement for this product. I do not have any financial gain by promoting this product. I use it simply because it works incredibly well. All I care about is properly protecting my bath tub! Hope it helps someone!
