Beautiful day out today with slightly warmer temperatures and calmer winds. The Sun is an issue this time of year being so low in the sky. We timed it just right today at Lower Sworthout Canyon crossing, Cajon Pass. Beautiful blue skies, snow capped mountains and colorful visibility balls on the power lines set the stage. With great sunlight behind us we get three very nice BNSF lash ups, all eastbound main track 1. First we get a nice Autorack train. Only two locomotives hauling this medium length empty train. A beautiful sight cruising by. 2. Next an Intermodal Container train again main trail 1 eastbound. Some weight in these cans and plenty of power up front if needed. Six locomotives including a Canadian Pacific and a Norfolk Southern. Medium length train moving easily up the steep Cajon grade. 3. Last but not least we have another Intermodal same track and direction. Again plenty of power including a nice BNSF Dash-9 H1 livery locomotive 1099! I included some still shots in between trains in the video.
