In this painting by the great painter Guido Reni, one of the most famous biblical episodes is represented, Salome, the stepdaughter of Herod, asks as a reward for her dance, the head of John the Baptist.
The landscape is completely absent and the animations are totally focused on the actions of the characters.
The page carrying his head on the tray kneels as he hands it to Salome, you can see in detail the animations of the legs flexing, the torso lengthens and the head bends near the tray.
Salome grabs her head in the act of lifting it from the tray, in doing this she bends her head and arranges her dress, you can see the whole drape of the dress moving in the act of arranging it.
Behind Salome two ladies approach with their heads, as if to whisper something, while on the left side of the painting, a woman arranges a curtain, making it sway.
