During the winter we planted various fruit trees, including an apricot in a large tub, sweet cherries in our fruit cage, plums and sour cherries around our perimeter fence, and an apple tree at the end of one of the beds, which we had moved from a previous location. In this video I make some progress with the pruning and training of these trees. The apple tree will be a stepover, although rather higher than is typical. Most of the stone fruits are being developed as fans. For the sweet cherries, though, we are trying something a bit different - a method known as Upright Fruiting Offshoots (UFO).
