Welcome to Cookie's Critters.
We are reptile breeders in Western Sydney and this channel is to educate our customers and followers. The reptiles that we breed are Central Bearded Dragons, Pygmy Bearded dragons, Knob tail geckos, and Northern Velvet Geckos.
In today's video we discuss our daily, weekly and monthly cleaning routine for our bearded dragons.
The daily routine consists of; removing faeces, shed skin, uneaten food, and clean and refill water bowl. At this time it is a good opportunity to check the health and condition of your dragon.
The weekly routine builds on the daily routine, with the added layers of disinfecting the food and water bowls with F10 and cleaning the glass. Extra attention should be paid when sifting the sand.
The monthly routine is the final layer to our cleaning program and it consists of removing the dragon from the enclosure (great time for a bath or a feed), remove all decorations and substrate from the enclosure. Rinse the sand and allow to dry before replacing, F10 all the internal surfaces and accessories.
It is crucial to adhere to the dilution ratios and contact wait time for F10 for the best results.
Finally every 6 months we replace all the sand substrate with fresh sand. This eliminates any build up of bacteria and reduces the likelihood of your dragon becoming ill.
In the future our expansion will include Blue tongue skink morphs, carpet pythons and green tree pythons.
