Manufacturers of motorbikes and cars are also getting into the electric bicycle market. As an illustration, consider the well-known Italian motorbike manufacturer MV Augusta, which just unveiled the Cortina Limited Edition e-bike.
This model, in contrast to the company's other performance-focused electric bikes, is intended for commuters who require both practicality and an attractive, sporty design.
The aluminum and carbon fiber Cortina frame accommodates riders of various sizes and weight requirements. The electric two-wheeler is also made lighter and more maneuverable by the carbon fiber front fork.
The Mahle X35 electric motor, which is built into the rear hub of the MV Augusta Cortina, provides the ideal mix of performance and size with 250 watts of power and 40 nm of torque.
With just one charge, the e-bike's battery, which is located inside the engine compartment, can provide up to 75 kilometers of pedal assistance.
The bike's Magura MT4 disc brakes and 10-speed Shimano drivetrain ensure dependable, if not sporty, performance, and the Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H tires are perfect for a variety of weather and terrain.
The Cortina features CNC-milled handlebar stem and seatpost, along with Ritchey leather grips and saddle, although it is not a performance bike. Because the motor unit is compact and lightweight materials are used, the bike weighs only 15.3 kilograms.
There are only a few examples of this elegant and sustainable urban mobility solution available, so you will need to pay 3,790 euros to get on one.
