She explains how your radiologist and healthcare team will evaluate the results of your low-dose CT scan and look for spots (called nodules) that are not supposed to be there. Nodules will be examined for various features, including their number, size, shape, and opacity, resulting in a score that can be used as a gauge to determine follow-up recommendations and next steps.
