In today's video, we explore the Battle of Evesham Festival, which is held every year in August, to commemorate the battle between rebel baron Simon de Montfort and Prince Edward, leading the troops of his captured father, King Henry III.
The festival takes over a large swathe of area alongside the beautiful river Avon in the town of Evesham, Worcestershire.
It's free to enter but they ask for a £2 donation if possible.
It's one of the hugest medieval re-enactment events, with hundreds of reenactors travelling across Europe to set up living history camps and take part in the battle itself. This year, twenty mounted Knights were also involved, which was one of the highlights for us - I even fed Simon de Montfort's horse a piece of carrot!
There were also 160 stalls, spread between the food court, artisan craft fayre and medieval market. We were restrained but treated ourselves to a cheeky bottle of mead!
The weather was dire but didn't dampen the spirits too much.
