A day after farmers condemned the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, protests were held across the country including New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kurukshetra, Darbhanga, and Amritsar. Opposition leaders who were standing in solidarity with the farmers including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra,
Navjot Singh Sidhu, and Akhilesh Yadav, were detained.
