PROFILES host Mickey Burns interviews stand-up comedian and actor Richard Belzer, perhaps best known for his works as Detective John Munch on "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" in this 10 minute episode teaser. As a comedian - back in 1975 Belzer was a part of the original Saturday Night Live cast, he would warm-up crowds with his stand-up routine and then appear in sketches.
Richard Belzer began playing Detective John Much back in 1993. First on "Homicide: Life on the Street," and later on "Law and Order: SVU," and several other series. Belzer has made Munch a brand and has become the only fictional character played by a single actor to appear on ten different shows on five different networks.
Richard Belzer is a true show business veteran. He has starred in television, appeared on Broadway, authored books and continues to be a much in-demand comedian with his stand-up act.
