Ahead of the announcement of the Government's Homes for Ukraine scheme, philanthropist and Phones 4U founder John Caudwell announced his intention to welcome a Ukrainian family at his Staffordshire home. He told Andy Bevan at ITV News more about it.
The refugees will have a self-contained, two-bedroom apartment in the coach house of Caudwell's country estate, with all food, utilities and other care provided for as long as they need.
In addition, John said: "More importantly, I can give them advice and help to create a proper future for themselves in Britain. It may be that they need that future [here] because they may never [be able to] go back to Ukraine."
