Over the course of the past few years, Maya has explored the intersection between agriculture and climate change and how technological innovations can help assuage the effects of such phenomena through various research-based initiatives. In her TED talk today, Maya will shed light on the plight of small-holder farmers in India and the root causes of air pollution in Delhi.
Maya Anandan is a 10th grader at the American Embassy School in New Delhi. Having lived in India her whole life, she is deeply concerned with the country’s magnifying ecological damage brought about by climate change, as well as the countless socio-economic problems the underprivileged face.
