Good morning Coffee Lovers ❤️☕
Happy Wednesday everyone 🙌
A week ago I did a recipe for Greek Frappe and some of you asked if it is also possible to do something similar but instead using Espresso. The challenge doing it with Espresso as much as the taste for some it may be better the foam part isn't as easy to create compared to instant coffee, but there are multiple ways to replicate that effects.
Now, I've tried with different ratios and there are of course recipes out there that already shared how to make this drink that's called Caffe Shakerato which is an Italian way of saying shaken Espresso.
The sugar really is optional but I added a bit as my preference but do adjust to your liking and replace it with other syrup if you like or remove it altogether if you don't want that.
The main thing that I've learned here is to ensure there's enough ice in your cocktail shaker or in my case a Mason jar to create enough friction that'll create foam like instant, but note that the foam won't stay as long as an Instant coffee.
Lastly, pulling a Lungo shot instead of Espresso which essentially is a longer shot also helps but this is based on my experiment and it is variable so I can't confirm for sure yet.
