Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel! For today’s tutorial I will be showing you guys on how to upgrade your hard drive on your PlayStation 3! This method does work on all PS3’s so Fat/Slims/Super Slim models can be upgrade as well as official firmware and custom firmware systems as well. DISCLAIMER: YOU HAVE TO EITHER REINSTALL THE SAME FIRMWARE YOU HAD WHEN YOU ORIGINALLY HAS ON YOUR PS3 OR A HIGHER VERSION YOU CAN’T DOWNGRADE WITH THIS METHOD OR GO ONTO CFW. FOR CFW USERS MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE RIGHT FIRMWARE IF YOU WERE ON CEX/REX INSTALL CEX, IF YOU WERE ON DEX INSTALL D-REX.

Prerequisites:

• PlayStation 3 *Doesn’t matter if it’s a FAT/SLIM/SUPERSLIM or if it’s on custom firmware/official firmware, this method works on all systems!*
• Phillips Screwdriver
• 2.5 Hard Drive *Has to be 1TB or lower*
• USB Stick that is formatted to FAT32. *To backup and savedata and reinstall firmware*
• MD5 Hash checker *to check firmware hash to make sure the file is not corrupt and also it is the correct file.*
• Official PS3 controller with USB Cable *Since we need to go in Safe Mode and basically you need an official PS3 controller for this method.*
