This video (forgive me, I’m new to this) is how to take a cowboy hat, from a flat brim shape, to a “cutter” shape, as this shape is known. This particular hat was perfectly shaped from the Stetson factory, and I steamed it to be like it would’ve been from scratch to show how they are shaped. This can be done with any felt or straw hat. I’ll be sure to post one of a straw hat being shaped with a household iron as well, as the process takes a bit more care to keep from burning the shellac coating on a good straw hat. Thanks for watching, and hope to see you again!
