Fran Drescher steps Behind The Rope. No, your eyes are not deceiving you. After all, you would recognize that voice anywhere as it is one of the most iconic in Hollywood history. Actress, Comedian, Writer, Best Selling Author, Activist, Gay Icon, and the list goes on and on and on. Fran Drescher stops by to chat, much to our delight, all things “The Nanny”. We chat about the original series, the rumored reboot, her recent comments about Cardi B. as the perfect choice to play the Nanny, other actresses she has her eye on and the importance of diversity and inclusion in any sitcom greenlit today. Fran also chats about The Nanny’s journey to Broadway, when we can expect to see The Nanny on “The Great White Way” and what she predicts for the return of Broadway later this year. Of course, we talk to Fran about her short-lived talk show - “The Fran Drescher Tawk Show”, her thoughts on current Talk Shows like The View, the sitcom she had in development with Rosie O’Donnell about two friends coping with a mid-life crisis - “The New Thirty”, her real-life friendship with Rosie who is spending the summer in Malibu near Fran, and last but not least, her cousin’s appearance on a little show known as The Real Housewives of New York City - Miss Aviva Drescher we are talking to you. On the 21st anniversary of remaining cancer-free, Fran held the FranJam 2021, a free online concert (Cyndi Lauper, Debbie Gibson, and David Foster performed) supporting the fight against cancer, a cause to which Fran has dedicated and continues to dedicate her time to through her Cancer Schmancer organization.
