You don't have to visit Churchill in October or November to see polar bears. In fact, you can see them during Beluga Whale season in the summer (July). Here's how...
We visited Churchill to swim with belugas and assumed we wouldn't see any polar bears because it was the wrong season. But we soon discovered many possible ways to see polar bears while visiting Churchill in the summertime.
1) Take a Tundra Buggy "Blooms & Birds" tour. (we saw five on our tour)
2) Take a Beluga & Fort tour with Sea North tours (we saw one on the island near the fort and another tour saw one swimming in the river)
3) Rent a car from Tamarack Rentals and drive around (we found two on our own while driving along the bay)
4) Take a driving tour with Nature 1st Tours (Paul Ratson found us three bears)
