5 Steps to Get Your Texas Real Estate License. Becoming a real estate agent in Texas is a big goal with 180 hours of classroom time to complete before you can even sit down for your real estate exam.

The good news is that it becomes much easier when you take the process one step at a time. In this video, we go over a step-by-step game plan to pass your exam and get your license in Texas.

Texas real estate license requirements-
Select your Texas State Approved TREC Real Estate School and Sign up for Classes.
Meet TREC’s qualifications for honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity.
Must be at least 18 Years old.
Complete all 180 Hours of your real estate pre-licensing Classes.
Complete and pass criminal background check.
Pass the final exams in real estate courses with a score of 70% or higher.
Schedule your exam.
Pass the Texas Real Estate Exam.
Find A Brokerage to Hire You.
Enroll in 90-hour post licensing education within 2 years.

Texas Pre-licensing Education Requirements
The approved 180 classroom hours courses required for real estate license applicants are:
Principles of Real Estate I (30 classroom hours)
Principles of Real Estate II (30 classroom hours)
Law of Agency (30 classroom hours)
Law of Contracts (30 classroom hours)
Promulgated Contract Forms (30 classroom hours)
Real Estate Finance (30 classroom hours)
