Today on Workshop Quick Takes (wqt): Previously, we refurbished the driver-side door switch cluster from a 2000 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) and walked you through the step-by-step process. We also said, "Don't do more than this. It isn't helpful. Don't do a full disassembly."
Join us as now as we do exactly that, and show you why it may not work out so well. But if you've already gotten that far, we'll also show you how to repair the damage.
Note: The specific part we refurbish is found in most Jeep 97-01 Cherokee XJ and 97-06 Wrangler TJ, and any other vehicle that cross-references to Dorman p/n 901-448 at the auto parts store.
