Join me for a 5 mile workout hike in the San Tan Regional Park during a typical 109 degree summer day, as I keep my hiking legs ready for long distance trails this fall. The ~5 mile loop includes the Goldmine Trail, San Tan Trail and Dynamite trail with around 2,000 ft of AEG.

WARNING: Do not hike in extreme temperatures if you are not acclimated, prepared and experienced. Novice hikers unprepared for the desert heat die every year in Arizona, are constantly being rescued off local hiking trails, and waste valuable time and resources of Fire Departments and Rescue personnel nearly every weekend. Don't be an idiot. You have been warned.
