Some Northeast Ohio senior citizens at Cardinal Court Assisted Living got quite the visit thanks to some adorable four-legged friends from the Berea Animal Rescue.
The dogs – Chloe and Dakota – definitely brought some joy, but animal therapy is also known to have a lot of physical and mental health benefits.
For residents of Cardinal Court, most of whom live with Alzheimer’s or another form of Dementia, the dogs can help remind them of their past.
“Our residents come here to live and bringing our pets and family visitors really brings the life out in our residents,” says Holly Soresso.
