Welcome to Almaty International Airport. Previously, landing aircraft on these runways was impossible under poor weather conditions. Planes had to circle several times for landing, wasting both time and fuel. Thanks to the installation of light signal fires on the taxiways of the runways, which meet International Civil Aviation Organization standards for receiving aircraft in zero visibility conditions, planes can now land in any weather without repeated attempts. Extra costs and fuel consumption have been reduced to zero. A significant saving was also brought about by the project to replace the airport's internal lighting. Previously, these halls were illuminated by quartz halogen lamps. The total savings from these two projects at Almaty airport exceed 50,000,000 tenge per year.
