Late last year, AMD released a new line of powerful and exciting CPUs. The confusingly named Ryzen 5000 series (don't ask me why they skipped the 4000s) is a noticeable bump up from what came before in both multi-threaded and single-threaded applications. Alongside boosts in performance offered by Premiere and After Effects (finally) focusing on optimization, and things are starting to look really exciting.
