BW Integrated Systems' Robotic Bag Palletizer in this application, is used to palletize large bags of salt. Due to the environment, the robot is covered for corrosion protection from salt dust. Capable of handling up to 50 lbs, bags infeed on an overhead conveyor to the robot for picking. The mechanical end-of-arm tool gently grips the bags and lowers them onto the pallet below at up to 20 bags per minute. Once the layers are complete, the completed pallet conveys out for forklift pick-up.
