Did I build the best Rickenbacker bass ever?

I am a big fan of Tool and I really love Adam's silverburst Les Paul. Since I also love Rickenbacker basses, I was thinking I would like to have a silverburst one (Rickenbacker doesn't have this color). Think something about my signature model. Then the idea went a little bit further and I decided to install the HB1 (Ric's humbucker) pickups on my 2018 Ric 4003 bass. When I read somewhere online that you can split those pickups, I was that's it! This might be the best & most versatile Rickenbacker bass ever. So I put a quilt maple veneer on top of body & headstock, to make it look more exotic, & I tried to create a transparent silverbusrt color. Then my good friend Maurilio "Mo" Mina from "Nordstrand Audio" brought into life the electronics idea. Volume & Tone knobs for each pickup, Humbucker, Single, Parallel selectors for each pickup, the original pickup selector, a kill switch, mono & stereo output!

Voila!!! Here's the most versatile and beautiful Ric I ever had!!!

For this demo I went for some different sounds combinations. There are obviously more with single and parallel combinations, but I stayed only with the humbucker and different modes on each pickup. Then I used Softube's "Lemmy" Murder One Marshall plugin for finger style and pick demos. I hope you'll enjoy this video and if you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments below!
