Ingredients:
▫ Yeast: 2 grams
▫ Water: 3.5 cup
▫ Full fat Milk: 1 liter
▫ Probiotic Yogurt: 1tbsp
• To get started, you'll need 2 grams of dry yeast. Add half a cup of lukewarm water to the yeast and set it aside.
• Take 1 tablespoon of probiotic yogurt. You can use any type of yogurt, but using probiotic yogurt will significantly enhance the nutritional benefits of your drink.
• Now it's time to heat the milk. Use one liter of full-fat milk for best results. Heat the milk until it starts to overflow.
• After it cools a bit, skim off the cream from the top. This helps ensure a high-quality drink. Set the milk aside to cool to room temperature.
• You'll need a 1.5-liter plastic or glass container. Thanks to @Coca-Cola we'll be using a plastic Coke bottle here.
• Using a funnel, first add the yeast solution to the bottle. Then place the yogurt on the funnel and pour in the room-temperature milk. This helps dissolve the yogurt into the milk, creating a homogeneous mixture.
• Finally, add 3 cups of lukewarm water. Make sure to leave some empty space in the bottle. Close the bottle tightly and let it sit in a stable temperature place for one week.
• After a week, due to the yeast activity and gas production, the bottle will feel a bit heavy, indicating your kefir is ready.
• To serve, you can refrigerate the kefir for a few hours. Pairing vegetables with this kefir is fantastic—mix some dried mint with hot water and add it to the kefir.
