Blue Yeti Pro
I was already extremely satisfied with the sound and performance of my Blue Snowball usb microphone, but when I saw this one feature that the Blue Yeti Pro had that the Blue Snowball didn't have .... i had to have it.
That feature? Simply this headphone jack so i can listen to my voice while i record.
Ridiculous right? I could probably set something up from within microsoft windows to accomplish the same result too or get a mixing board.
Well, i couldn't figure it out, i dont have deskroom for a mixing board and this made it easy.
I miss the days from back in the 1990s when this was a normal feature, and I would just sit there and listen to my voice for hours, just talking.
I admit it .... i love to listen to my voice.
I'm ok with being honest about that. I love the sound of my voice.
And over the past decade, i've lost out on that ability to hear my voice while I was recording.
Now, that experience is back.
And while the Snowball is probably the best mic at the lowest price, the Blue Yeti is an upgrade at a price over 100 more ... but i get the headphone jack to listen to my own voice while i record. To me, that is worth it.
I have a video on this channel of me demonstrating the Blue Snowball mic.
This video was recorded with the Blue Yeti Pro mic that i'm demonstrating here.
The difference between the Yeti and the Yeti Pro seems to be the XLR output, that i will probably never use.
However, it wasn't that much more money and now i have the XLR option should i ever need it, as well as the usb option.
Overall i'm very satisfied with my purchase, and have links in the description below for both the Blue Yeti Pro and the Blue Snowball.
