Taking health care beyond the four walls of a hospital is vital for a strong community. The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center has opened its Healthy Community Center on the Near East Side of Columbus at 1600 E. Long St. to improve the health, wellness and vitality of the surrounding neighborhood. Created with significant community input and partnership, the center provides free activities for all ages, including cooking classes, special events, fitness classes and senior programming. The building also houses a healthy café and flexible meeting spaces.
