1986’s Highlander remains a cult classic today and it has inspired various film sequels and television spin-offs. But back in the '80s, the movie about immortals who secretly fight to behead each other for the opportunity to meet at a gathering to acquire “The Prize” was not well-received by audiences and critics.
The premise of the movie was puzzling, but it didn’t matter, because it made its lead actor Christopher Lambert into an '80s movie star. The movie also enlisted the services of legendary actor Sean Connery, who played the colorful swordsman Ramirez.
