John Kinross was born in Edinburgh and was a successful freelance composer and pianist in Dundee, then London. He wrote many pieces for young players and they all display consistent charm and naturalness as well as a strong melodic gift. The student parts are in 5-finger position, while the teacher parts are sophisticated without being too hard. These are gems!
