Is your shoulder hurting when you go to lift things or work out? It might not be your shoulder causing the pain!
I'm often asked: How do I fix shoulder pain? With 18 muscles affecting its function, the shoulder is the most mobile part of the body. When people experience shoulder pain, well-meaning professionals often try to fix the rotator cuff, strengthen the shoulder, and stretch it out. But the shoulder pain is often caused by impairments in other parts of the body!
Let me show you a better way to fix shoulder pain. Shoulder pain is often caused by problems in the foot, ankle, hips, and thoracic spine. Restoring foot and ankle function could be the quickest fix to resolving shoulder pain.
In this video, I show you several moves to work your ankles in 3-planes of motions. If you try these quick exercises to restore foot-ankle function and experience a reduction in shoulder pain, there is a good chance that your shoulder pain is being caused by your ankles. From there, you now know that working out your foot-ankle-calf complex and restoring its authentic function is where the solution lies.
