Using the Nuclear War Simulator this models a Russian Nuclear Attack on the United Kingdom which was a request from a comment on one of my previous videos. I ran this twice, once with Russia expending 30% of its nuclear arsenal and a second time expending 100% of their arsenal.
These are not meant to represent a realistic attack. I would go as far to say there is no realistic attack when it comes to nuclear weapons as the effect would be devastating far beyond the nations involved. Certainly even if unfortunate events transpired that the threshold was crossed there is not likely to ever be a scenario that Russia would target the UK with such a high percentage of its deployed warheads with 30% being the very upper limits. During the early to mid 80s when stockpiles were at their highest and warhead yields tended to be larger (over time the accuracy has increased and yield has decreased at counter value strategies moved towards counter force) these may have represented something closer to what could have happened under worst case scenarios.
