An oasis perched on the edge of Botswana's celebrated salt pans, Nata Lodge is on the way to everywhere!
The nearby Nata Bird Sanctuary is typically home to arid salt pans but bursts into life with the summer rains. The Nata River fills the sweeping Sua Salt Pan, and travellers greet an ancient inland sea rich with birdlife when steering into the community-run reserve. These silky waters are remnants of a 'super lake' that existed hundreds of thousands of years ago.
Follow the call of the wild waters onward to Kasane and explore Africa's enchanting elephant capital on the Chobe River. Many boating safaris are on offer in Kasane, but Chobe Safari Lodge is closest to the Chobe National Park, with the fastest, easiest access to epic game viewing.
An expertly-guided cruise gently navigates these lively waters to sail past hippos, witness heaving herds of buffalo and pause for elephants crossing while cameras snap up all the action.
Both the famous Chobe Safari Lodge campsite and iconic Nata Lodge stopover offer individual campsites scattered below the boughs of tall trees. There is access to a power and modern ablutions with hot showers. Guests can access also luxury lodge facilities, such as Wi-Fi, sparkling swimming pool, a restaurant, sunny cocktail deck and an activity centre.
