I love this directive to help myself and my clients self regulate. It's called the Body Scan. I am so very inspired by Dr. Dan Siegel's work, so I added the SIFT (Sensations Images Feelings Thoughts) into it. It seems simple but it's pretty powerful. Sometimes things can feel a bit more intense when you lean into the sensations, so you may want to direct your clients (or yourself) to open their eyes if they move out of their window of tolerance.
