In 1989 Detroit opened the worlds largest incinerator, known as the Detroit Incinerator. The constant flow of pollution caused respiratory problems and serious breathing issues. Its toxicity became notorious and it took until 2019 for protesters to get it shut down. It has sat abandoned and was recently demolished. #shorts
